Molecular Diagnostics

CAL Laboratory is dedicated to improving patient care through the intelligent application of technology, we are dedicated to expanding the impact of Real Time PCR or Molecular testing making it the preferred tool of clinicians.

CAL is among the first medical laboratories to adopt Real Time PCR or Molecular testing technology, which makes possible the identification of a broad spectrum of pathogens which cause human infections. Real Time PCR has numerous advantages compared to traditional techniques such as culture. Using Real Time PCR CAL is able to identify a broad spectrum of pathogens with much greater speed, accuracy, specificity and sensitivity. CAL is able to provide results that are more accurate in hours not days as is typical of culture. Earlier identification of disease causing pathogens means better patient care.
